Qualisys moves into animation market!

Gothenburg, 31 January 2019 -- Qualisys, the leading provider of precision motion capture technology, today announced a move into the animation market with the launch of an integrated Skeleton Solver for their QTM software.
Qualisys has over 30 years of experience in motion capture within human biomechanics. In bringing this expertise and philosophy to the entertainment sector, the company has created the most user-friendly application of human tracking for film, gaming and live broadcasting currently available.
Animation, and the entertainment sector in general, is a huge market with a need for constantly-evolving motion capture technology.
Already renowned for the accuracy and reliability of their solutions, Qualisys has made great developments to the visualization aspect of their products in recent years, which has opened up new business opportunities both in location-based VR and AR applications, as well as the traditional movie and video game industries.
Qualisys’ solutions for animation allows for real-time solving of multiple characters, streamed in 150+ fps straight into the game engine or animation software of your choice. The QTM Skeleton Solver provides direct streaming without middleware or third-party software into tools like Unity, Unreal, MotionBuilder and Maya. Some are available for download via full-featured plugins on the Qualisys website and all can be found as source code on github.com.
The integrated Skeleton Solver in QTM is the latest step towards becoming the world’s most complete software for motion capture, and Qualisys has been working with game developer, Remedy Entertainment, to evaluate the success of their move into the animation market.
QTM is now a one-stop-shop for all motion capture requirements. It is the gold standard for researchers looking at human motion, gait analysis and elite athlete performance within sports biomechanics and is equally adept at streaming real-time rigid body data from a drone swarm or recording high quality skeletal data for the next AAA game.
The industry-unique site license model means you can deploy QTM on as many computers as you like in your studio - and even install it onto individual team members’ machines to be used for post-processing.
